Mandate
Delphine Diallo is a renowned visual artist and photographer known for her captivating portraits and thought-provoking imagery. My task for this project was to breathe life into Delphine Diallo’s “Divine Women” through a uniquely crafted book and seamlessly adapt it to a mobile app.
Approach
Diallo’s work focuses on surrealism, abstraction, and vibrant symbolism. I set out to create a book design that would simply compliment Diallo’s work while maintaining a cohesive, prestigious aesthetic that honours Diallo’s artistic vision. My intention was to create a simple page layout for the book in order to emphasize Diallo’s imagery. The two column cohesive grid and delicate style of the book mimics Diallo’s artistry.
Outcome
I am quite happy with the results since I was able to create a simple, yet sophisticated book that represents a seamless journey through Delphine Diallo’s world. Through effective page layout and beautiful imagery, “Divine Women” captivates readers. The app brings the art to life.
